Touring Calcutta

Not all of our time was spent in service projects.  We were able to spend some time experiencing Calcutta.
Here's a sampling of what we saw.

The Women's Friendly Society a micro-business that is operated by destitute women for the benefit of destitute women.  It is self-funded and self-supportive.  The women create and sell beautiful needlework products.

It seemed that all children wanted to be photographed and then see their picture on the camera.
The waiter is preparing the best coffee in town.

Note the passenger's cell phone - old world meets modern world.

The picture is blurry, but those are chickens going to market.

Ralph stopped at a public urinal for a bathroom break.

Lisa needed to clean up after a direct hit by a dive-bombing bird.

This is what happens when you wear sandles in the streets of Calcutta.

Sampling the local cuisine.
